What is this Linux thing?

__What is Linux? Linux is a UNIX clone available to operate on   multiple processor architectures such as x86, SPARC, Alpha, Ultra, m68k, and PowerPC..The mastermind behind the madness is Linus Torvalds who developed the concept while attending  the  University of Helsinki in Finland.. It  is currently   being developed by programmers all across the globe. There are literally thousands of applications available ranging from system administration tools to graphics apps and for the most part are absolutely free.
Face it folks, Linux is on its way up and if you don't start learning it now you will be left behind like the BETAMAX.

Linux Essentials

I decided to add this section for obvious reasons. I have also created a special board where you may ask anything you would like about Linux and you will get an answer. If you are brand new to Linux or UNIX you may want to go back to my home page and order the Linux Unleashed book. It has a lot of great information that will help you in your quest for the perfect O/S. I will try to keep the kernel as up to date as I can however with a new version coming out every other day it will not be easy. There is also the distro's section which are links to the top three distributions.

Kernel Korner Banner, this isn't your mothers KFC.
